Hitchcock Brewing is now officially open at its new location in Bernardston. Located right off of Interstate 91 with ample parking and saddled up to the Farm Table restaurant/Kringle Candle, this brewery has a win/win location and a super stylish taproom and music venue.
“Nitro Stout”, is an Irish'-style stout providing that wee touch of sweetness that makes it so quaffable. At 5.0% ABV, its a session-able after-work pint. “Stoopid Nelson” (8.3%) is a West Coast Double IPA. “Nice Rumpkin Roasted Pumpkin Ale” is made with smoked sugar pumpkins. “We make local beer for local people” Rich said.
One step into the tasting room, and out-of-towners will find themselves welcomed like family. Chad Champoux is the assistant brewer and is well known in the local brewing scene A brewery tour includes artwork with the likes of Jerry Garcia, Neil Young, BB King, and Bob Dylan. Visitors get a good sense that at Hitchcock, these happy brewers are making quality brews. This is a great first stop on Friday and Saturday nights between 6-9pm for beers, live music and good times.
